KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lehigh men's soccer fifth year midfielder Stevo Bednarsky has one last accolade bestowed upon him before his outstanding career comes to an end, as the Mountain Hawks' three-time captain was named a Third Team All-Atlantic Region selection by the United Soccer Coaches on Monday afternoon. The four-time All-Patriot League selection earns All-Region status for the second time in his career.
Bednarsky made his mark during five years at Lehigh, which included being an important cog in the program's third-ever Patriot League Championship won during the course of the 2019 season.
Despite dealing with nagging injuries this fall, Bednarsky managed to put in quality minutes, finishing with two assists in his final three games.
In 73 career starts over five seasons, Bednarsky tallied two goals and six assists for 10 points, including one game-winning goal.
A second team All-Patriot League selection in 2021, he finished his career as Lehigh's fifth four-time All-League honoree and first since Doug Cusick in 2003.
Lehigh had a memorable season after a challenging start, ending up qualifying for the Patriot League Tournament as the fourth-overall seed, falling to Navy in the quarterfinals, 1-0.
