Forrest becomes program's second-ever Academic All-District selection

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's soccer junior defender Euan Forrest had a tremendous season both on and off the field as he was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 selection on Thursday afternoon. He was one of three Patriot League student-athletes to make the list, joining Navy's Matt Nocita and Bucknell's Patrick O'Hara.
Forrest was named an Academic All-Patriot League selection earlier in the week for the second time in his career, earning a cumulative 3.95 grade point average while dual majoring in behavioral neuroscience and economics.
In 2021, he scored two goals with two assists and a game-winning goal against Army West Point, which came at a crucial juncture in the campaign. Forrest made 14 starts in 17 appearances on the year and helped lead the Mountain Hawks back to the Patriot League Tournament as the No. 4 seed.
Forrest is just the second player in program history to be named Academic All-District and first since Jamie Luchini in 2015.
As a first team honoree, Forrest automatically advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
