BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh's annual Student-Athlete Awards Convocation will feature a different look this spring. The 20th edition of the year-end awards convocation will be presented digitally, May 4-8 on Lehigh Athletics' social media channels.
This year's Convocation was originally scheduled for May 4 at Baker Hall inside the Zoellner Arts Center. With Lehigh University closed and students learning remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's Convocation will feature a virtual presentation.
This year's program once again will feature the announcement of Lehigh's department awards, recognition of Lehigh student-athletes who won University awards and the unveiling of the student-athlete superlative award winners. Videos will showcase the athletic department's highlights from the 2019-20 academic year as well as the department's bloopers from the past year. New this year, Lehigh alumni will be participating in the announcement of department awards, as several previous award winners will serve as presenters.
Convocation content will be presented on Lehigh Athletics' departmental social media channels:
Twitter - @LehighSports, Facebook - @LehighAthletics, and Instagram - @lehigh_sports.
The virtual Convocation will begin Monday, May 4 with a message from baseball pitcher Mason Black '22, co-captain of Lehigh's Student Athlete Council, along with Student-Athlete Superlatives and Bloopers. Several department awards will be announced daily throughout the week of May 4, with Convocation content culminating on Friday May 8 with University Awards and the department's year-end highlight video.
