NCAA Cancels Remaining Winter and Spring Championships

The NCAA released the following statement Thursday afternoon in regards to the cancellation of all remaining winter and spring championships.

Earlier Thursday the Patriot League announced a decision by the league's Council of Presidents to cancel all spring athletics practices and competitions through the remainder of the academic year, as of March 16.

Below is a listing of spring competitions scheduled between March 12-15 and outstanding winter sports competitions. As of Thursday evening, ALL competitions listed below have now been canceled. In addition all Lehigh Athletics Alumni Events and Banquets listed HERE have been canceled.

Wrestling – NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, March 19-21.

Women's Basketball – Thursday's scheduled Patriot League Tournament semifinal at Boston University and the remainder of the Patriot League Tournament, in addition to the NCAA Tournament.

Men's Lacrosse – Contest at Army West Point on Saturday, March 14.

Women's Lacrosse – Contest at Loyola on Saturday, March 14.

Baseball – Four game series versus Mount St. Mary's, March 13-15 (one away, three home).

Softball – Final four games at GCU Invitational in Phoenix, March 13-14 have been cancelled.

Men's Golf – Will not be participating in Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout in Alameda, Calif., March 15-17.

Women's Tennis – Matches against Delaware (March 14) and Loyola (March 15).

Men's Tennis – Sunday, March 15 match versus Loyola.

Rowing – Competition at Loyola on Saturday, March 14.
