HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Lehigh men's golf team wrapped up action at the Patriot League Championship on Sunday, finishing eighth overall with a three-round finish of 903 (299-311-293). After leading the field after round one, a tough second round for the Mountain Hawks proved too much to overcome. In his final collegiate competition, senior Max Redetzke paced the Mountain Hawks for the weekend, shooting 225 (74-76-76).
Â
Behind Redetzke was freshman Michael Tanaka, who shot 227 (73-82-72). Tanaka was followed closely by junior Owen Quinn (228, 75-80-73), senior Eamon Marone (232, 77-77-78), junior Ryan Kelly (234, 82-78-74) and senior Lee Hammerschmidt (235, 81-80-74).
Â
Sunday saw the student-athletes resume play where they had left off when Saturday's round two was suspended due to conditions. They then played the third and final round of the weekend at the Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y.
Army West Point captured the team championship, shooting 865 on the weekend (302-285-278).
