BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In its final tune-up before this weekend's Patriot League Championship, the Lehigh men's golf team got the best of Lafayette in stroke play Tuesday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. All six Mountain Hawks broke 80 on the day, with Lehigh winning the play-five, score-four format by a 300-323 score.

Junior Owen Quinn and freshman Michael Tanaka both shot one over par 73 for the low round of the day. Quinn competed as an individual while Tanaka anchored Lehigh's scoring team.

Senior Max Redetzke and junior Ryan Kelly both turned in rounds of three over par 75, while senior Eamon Marone shot 77 and senior Lee Hammerschmidt carded a 79.

Lafayette was led by Ryan Tall's 78.

With Tuesday's victory, the Mountain Hawks secured wins over Lafayette in both match play and stroke play this academic year. Lehigh defeated Lafayette in match play to reclaim the President's Cup in October.

The Mountain Hawks will now set their sights on the Patriot League Championship, Saturday and Sunday at the Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton, N.Y.
