
Havas and Perrone garner All-Patriot League recognition

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After strong 2018 seasons featuring awards, records and more, sophomore Lenke Havas has been named first team All-Patriot League while freshman Olivia Perrone has earned a spot on the second team, as announced on Tuesday. Havas has been named All-Patriot League following each of her first two seasons, while Perrone garnered All-League after being named Patriot League Rookie of the Week twice during the season.

Havas broke out offensively this season, leading the Mountain Hawks in goals (6), assists (9) and points (21). The nine assists mark a school record. She is tied for first in the Patriot League in assists, stands fourth in points and tied for seventh in goals. Havas is also third in the league with three defensive saves and stands as the only player in the Patriot League in the top five in both points and defensive stops. Havas posted at least one point in 12-of-18 games this season and had a point in each of the final five games of the season.

Perrone enjoyed an impressive rookie campaign, posting 11 points (tied for second on the Mountain Hawks) behind three goals and five assists. Perrone's first-career goal was the game-winner against Ball State in the second half to give Lehigh its first win over the Cardinals since 1984. Perrone went on to dish assists at Lafayette and LIU Brooklyn, scored a goal at Georgetown, had an assist at Yale then posted a goal and two assists in Sunday's 3-2 win at Towson. Perrone was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week twice, following the Ball State game-winning goal and Sunday's season finale.

Sunday capped off a season of continued progress for the Mountain Hawks. Along with Towson victory, the Mountain Hawks beat Ball State for the first time since 1984, topped Patriot League foe Colgate and took archrival Lafayette to overtime for a second straight year. Lehigh also scored nine more goals than all of last season, netting 24 in 2018.
