BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Low temperatures and high winds were the story on day one of the Lehigh Invitational Sunday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. Lehigh and nine other teams battled through sunny but windy conditions with temperatures in the 40s with the Mountain Hawks shooting 317 to take a one stroke lead into Monday's final round.

Senior Reagan Jahn led the way for Lehigh's five-player scoring unit, carding a four over par 76 to sit in a three-way tie for second place behind leader Kaitleen Shee of St. John's, who carded a 74. Also part of the tie for second place with a 76 is junior Rebecca Markunas, who is competing as an individual but turned in one of her best rounds as a Mountain Hawk.

Junior Minuette Laessig is also in the top 10 after round one as her 79 leaves her tied for ninth.

Two Mountain Hawks, senior Aileen Jeong and freshman Alexis Carras, shot 81 and are part of a tie for 15th place.

Sophomore Angela Ding shot 85 and is tied for 29th place.

Also competing as an individual for Lehigh is sophomore Alexis Browne, who shot 89 and is tied for 45th place.

Markunas, Browne and Carras all cardied two birdies Sunday, while Jahn was steady with 12 pars.

In the team standings, Lehigh leads St. John's by one stroke, while Navy and Fairleigh Dickinson are tied for third, two strokes behind the Mountain Hawks.

The Lehigh Invitational concludes Monday with the final 18 holes from Saucon Valley Country Club. Due to the threat of frost in the morning, Monday's first tee times have been pushed back one hour to 10:30 a.m. Lehigh will play with St. John's and FDU with players going off the 10th tee beginning at 11:20 a.m.
