Men's Soccer Lands Nine Student-Athletes on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

FULL PATRIOT LEAGUE RELEASE
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's soccer program continued its run of success in the classroom by placing nine student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league on Wednesday. To earn a spot on the honor roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the semester of their sport's competition.
The nine honorees combined for an average GPA of 3.56 in the fall semester. 2016 Academic All-Patriot League selection Justin Worley led the team and was one of 11 Patriot League men's soccer players to post a perfect 4.00 GPA during the fall semester. The senior psychology major is a now a four-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Senior goalkeeper Jacob Gottwald also earned his fourth selection to the Honor Roll as he posted a 3.49 GPA in the fall. Senior midfielder Danny Gonzalez also made a repeat appearance on the Honor Roll with a stellar 3.77 GPA.
Juniors David Zipkin (3.34) and Tatsu Otani (3.27) also return to the Honor Roll, with Zipkin earning his third-straight selection.
Sophomore Paul Steingraber (3.60) and freshmen Ian Marshall (3.86), Will Smith (3.43) and Matthew Peralta (3.32) all earned spots on the Honor Roll in their first season in the Patriot League.
Colgate led all schools with 23 honorees while Boston University and American had 21 and 20, respectively. Each Lafayette and Navy were represented by 16 and were followed by Bucknell with 15 and Holy Cross with 12.
