Lehigh hosts Raise Your Game women's leadership conference

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - On Saturday April 2 Lehigh University, in conjunction with Lafayette College and Coordinated Health, hosted "Raise Your Game: The Power of Female Leaders On and Off the Field," a leadership conference for women at the Smith Family Sports Performance Center and Yeager Team Learning Center.

The goal of the Raise Your Game conference was to harness attributes learned in the field of play, learn the value of leadership, and understand women's integral role in the marketplace. Female student-athletes from Lehigh, Lafayette and other Patriot League institutions were on hand for the inaugural conference, which was also open to female leaders from across the Lehigh Valley.

The day-long conference began with opening comments from Lehigh Dean of Athletics Joe Sterrett, Lafayette Director of Athletics Bruce McCutcheon and Coordinated Health CEO Dr. Emil DiIorio.

Lehigh alumnae Michelle Tillis Lederman '93 and Mimi Griffin MBA '79 delivered keynote addresses to open and close the conference. The conference also featured three breakout discussion sessions with alumnae and staff from both Lehigh and Lafayette serving as panelists.

Lehighsports.com caught up with several Lehigh student-athlete attendees, who offered their thoughts on the conference.
