Winter weather forces Saturday schedule changes

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The winter storm that is anticipated to hammer the Lehigh Valley on Saturday has forced the postponement of three Lehigh home contests and the rivalry men's basketball game between Lehigh and Lafayette in Easton.

Lehigh's swimming and diving meet versus Bucknell has been moved to 2 p.m. Sunday at Jacobs Pool. Swimming will begin at 2 p.m. with diving incorporated into the meet program. With the swim meet pushed back one day, the scheduled women's scrimmage at Princeton has been canceled.

The Lehigh-Lafayette indoor track and field meet, originally scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. will now be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Lehigh's Rauch Fieldhouse.

The rivalry women's basketball game between Lehigh and Lafayette has been moved to Wednesday, January 27 at 5 p.m. The game will now be the first half of a doubleheader at Stabler Arena with the Lehigh men's game against Colgate to follow at 7 p.m.

Saturday's Lehigh-Lafayette men's basketball rivalry tilt in Easton has also been postponed. That contest will now be played on Monday February 8 with game time set for 7 p.m. from Kirby Sports Center in Easton.

The sixth-ranked Lehigh wrestling team will be departing for its key EIWA dual at No. 15 Cornell on Friday, well ahead of the start of anticipated snowfall. The 6:30 p.m. Saturday dual in Ithaca, N.Y. will go on as scheduled.
