BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off one of its most impressive wins of the season, the Lehigh men's basketball team looks to end the regular season on a high note when the Mountain Hawks travel to Colgate on Saturday. Opening tipoff is set for 12 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. Lehigh earned a dominant win over first-place Bucknell on Wednesday which helped clinch the #3 seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament. The Mountain Hawks can't move up, or down, no matter the results of Saturday's games.

Saturday is a big game for Colgate as the Raiders could still earn the #1 seed in the upcoming tournament with a win and Bucknell loss at American. Following Saturday's game, the Mountain Hawks will look ahead to Thursday's Patriot League Quarterfinal Game in Stabler Arena, Lehigh's fourth quarterfinal home game in the last five years. Wednesday's 84-65 win over Bucknell continued an impressive streak at home as of late. After a tough start in Stabler Arena, the Mountain Hawks have now won six of their last seven games at home, eclipsing 80 points in three of the last five.

Lehigh's defense impressed, especially in the early going as the Mountain Hawks held the Bison scoreless for the game's first 6:07 and to just eight points over the first 12:36. For the game, Bucknell shot just 34.9 percent from the field and 25.9 percent from three-point range as Lehigh continues to lead the Patriot League (by far and away) in field goal percentage defense. Freshman Kahron Ross led the offense with 17 points and 10 assists for his fourth-career double-double. Ross' 10th assist was a thing of beauty, making a steal near center court then firing a pass over his shoulder to sophomore Miles Simelton who went in for the highlight-reel slam dunk.

Four Mountain Hawks finished with double-figure points while two others just missed double figures. Along with Ross, sophomore Austin Price scored 16 points and added five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Junior Jesse Chuku scored 14 points on an impressive 5-of-7 shooting and 4-of-5 from three-point range while sophomore Tim Kempton scored 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting and added eight rebounds. Junior Justin Goldsborough finished with nine points and 11 boards while Simelton tallied eight points as a spark off the bench.

Lehigh will look to avenge its Patriot League opening loss to Colgate as the Raiders opened a big second-half lead before a valiant Mountain Hawks' comeback fell just short. Lehigh began league play 1-4, but is 9-3 since and after an 0-4 start to the season, the Mountain Hawks are 16-8 over their last 24.

Colgate is in the midst of a stellar season, entering the weekend with an 11-6 league record and in second place in the standings. With a win on Saturday and Bucknell loss at American, the Raiders would be the #1 seed entering the Patriot League Tournament. Colgate was just 3-10 in nonleague play, but began the Patriot League with a 5-1 record. Five players have started all 30 games, led by Damon Sherman-Newsome and his 14.9 scoring average. Ethan Jacobs averages 12.7 points per game while Austin Tillotson comes in with 11.0 per game and a team-leading 121 assists in 30 games. Colgate is a strong shooting team, shooting .484 from the field and .391 from three-point range.

Colgate has won the last two games (both at Lehigh) to take a 50-36 lead in the all-time series. The Raiders won the regular season finale in 2013-14 by a 74-57 final before taking the Patriot League opener this season, 68-61. Lehigh has still won six of the last nine meetings overall, including four straight from 2012 to 2013. In the last game at Colgate, Lehigh pulled out a 88-81 double overtime thriller. The first-ever meeting between the two sides was in 1909-10, a 25-24 Colgate win. The next game didn't come until 1959-60. Lehigh's first victory was in 1961-62 by a 72-71 final.

Following Saturday's game, Lehigh will look ahead to a home Patriot League Quarterfinal Game next Thursday (Mar. 5) at 7 p.m. in Stabler Arena. Tickets are now on sale by clicking here.
