Tough weekend for Lehigh hockey

The Mountain Hawks had high hopes going into this weekends matchups against two inner ECHA opponets in Navy and Towson. Unfortuneately the Midshipmen and Tigers had other plans. Friday night had Lehigh in Annapolis Maryland to face Navy. It looked promising early for the boys from the hill as Adam Goldstein put one past Navy goaltender Paul Roche at the 6:51 mark. This was the only scoring of the period and the Mountain Hawks felt confident, taking a 1-0 lead into the locker room after the 1st period. It was all Navy from the 2nd period on however. The Middies were able to score 3 straight goals in the 2nd and controlled the game from there on.

Lehigh was able to tally another goal at the 17:31 mark when Freshman Spencer Lehrer lit the lamp assisted by Garren Fritts and Chris Ramondelli. This was unfortuneately the end of the Mountain Hawks scoring, and the boys from Bethlehem left Annapolis with a 6-2 loss.

Saturday saw Lehigh travelling to Abingdon Maryland to face Towson University in another ECHA matchup. Although determined to leave Maryland with a win, the Tigers were too much to handle, and the Mountain Hawks left with a 10-2 loss. Kevin McGee was the highlight for Lehigh Saturday as he left Ice World with 2 goals. His first came at the 9:41 mark of the 1st period, assisted by Chris Ramondelli. McGee scored again at 14:16 of the 2nd with the assists going to Chris Ramondelli and Justin Uzcategui.
