The Ice Hockey team knew they would be facing the tough task of beating a good Drexel team on consecutive nights. However, a sense of optimism arose at thirty seconds into the game as Henry Brooks battled for a loose puck behind the net and fed Chris Ramondelli who fired a shot over the Drexel goalie's left shoulder to put the Mountain Hawks up 1-0. Six minutes later, Andrew Clayton, made a long pass to a streaking Kevin McGee up the right side. Henry Brooks was skating open toward the net. McGee found Brooks with a perfect pass and he snapped a shot passed the goalie and suddenly Lehigh is up 2-0.  Lehigh was then called for two consecutive penalties that Drexel converted into goals to tie the score at 2-2. The first period ends tied at 2.
In the 2nd period, Drexel was able to score 2 quick goals to take the lead at 4-2. McGee closed the gap with an assist from Ramondelli. Drexel scored 2 more goals to extend the lead to 6-3 and the teams headed into the locker room.
To start the thrid period, Lehigh battled back with a power play goal. On the right face-off circle, McGee won the puck back to Brooks who fired a shot that dinged the cross bar and went into the net.  Two minutes later, Jake Homan found Scott Mogerley who tightened the score at 6-5. Midway through the 3rd period, Drexel scored 3 goals in 3 minutes to extend their lead and put the game out of reach. Chris Ramondelli added a goal with assists from Joe Ramondelli and Clayton. The score ended 10-6 but it was a good effort from Lehigh.
