BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's basketball team eyes its third straight win when the Mountain Hawks host Saint Francis (Pa.) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Wednesday marks the final nonleague home game for Lehigh as the Mountain Hawks will wrap up nonleague action with games at LIU Brooklyn, Quinnipiac, Arizona State and UMBC. The Red Flash are much-improved and enter Wednesday's matchup with a 3-3 record.

Lehigh's offense has come alive over the past two games, scoring 86 then 100 points. The Mountain Hawks reached 100 for the first time since December of 2012 with a 100-74 win against Penn State Mont Alto Sunday. All 14 Lehigh players who saw action scored, led by 15 points from sophomore Austin Price. Junior Jesse Chuku had 13 points, knocking down 6-of-7 from the field while freshman Brandon Alston scored 10 points. Junior transfer Khalid McCaskill tallied nine points in his first Lehigh action while sophomore transfer John Ross Glover scored eight points in his first game in the brown and white. Freshman Tyler Jenkins saw his first collegiate action and scored seven points and dished four assists.

No Mountain Hawk played 20 minutes as Lehigh was able to see different players and use a variety of lineup combinations. Sophomore Georgios Pilitsis also scored his first-career points, a first-half three-pointer, while junior Devon Carter tallied a career-high seven points and three rebounds. As a team, Lehigh assisted 26 of its 35 field goals, led by four players who each had four helpers each. The Mountain Hawks' lead reached 37 midway through the second half.

After struggling with just 51 then 44 points over their first two home games, the Mountain Hawks are averaging 70.2 points per game for the season. The 100-point effort came after 86 points at Big East foe DePaul; the Blue Demons went on to beat defending Sweet 16 qualifier Stanford 87-72 on Sunday. Wednesday marks the first of two straight NEC opponents as Lehigh travels to LIU Brooklyn Saturday to face the Blackbirds, who have won three of the last four conference championships.

Saint Francis has enjoyed a strong start to the season, entering Wednesday's matchup with a 3-3 record. The Red Flash held Cincinnati to just 52 points in a 52-37 loss in their season opener. Saint Francis then lost to American by just three (49-46) while defeating Keystone (102-69), Maryland Eastern Shore (57-53) and Navy (85-68). The Red Flash have won three of their last four overall. Earl Brown leads the team in scoring, averaging 12.3 points per game, while Malik Harmon is right behind at 12.2 per contest. Brown also leads the team in rebounding (7.2 average) while Ollie Jackson has dished a team-high 24 assists through six games. Saint Francis is shooting 45.9 percent as a team this season to 44.6 percent for its opponents.

Lehigh leads the all-time series against Saint Francis (Pa.), 8-3. The Mountain Hawks have won eight straight overall with the last loss coming on Dec. 30, 1977 by an 87-71 final. The teams have played in each of the last seven seasons. The last two years were played in Loretto, Pa. while the previous two games were played in Lehigh's Stabler Arena. The Mountain Hawks won last year's meeting 57-50 behind Tim Kempton's first-career double-double.

Following Wednesday's game, Lehigh will head to LIU Brooklyn on Saturday to face the Blackbirds. Opening tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
