USATF National Club Cross Country Championships on Dec 13

Goodman Campus will welcome more than 1,500 runners for the Championships
Bethlehem, PA: The 2014 edition of the USATF National Club Cross Country Championships will take place in less than two months--on December 13--over Lehigh University's historic cross-country courses in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Early hotel bookings indicate that the annual event will be bigger than ever.
Last year more than 1200 runners and 100 teams entered the Club Championships in Bend, Oregon. "We thought our easy-to-reach location, just 4 hours from Washington, D.C. and 5.5 hours from Boston, would prove attractive to many East Coast runners," says race director Terry Delph. "It looks like that's happening."
Registration closes on Dec. 5 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Through Nov. 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET, the registration fee is $40 per individual. After Nov. 30, it climbs to $65. There is NO onsite, day-of-competition entry. All runners must be members of USATF.

Course
The Lehigh University course has played host to five NCAA Division I Cross-Country Championships, including an epic Henry Rono-Alberto Salazar duel in 1979, which Rono won. The location includes ample, free parking immediately adjacent to the course. Runners will also be able to shower post-race in the Lehigh athletic facilities.
The Lehigh course will be available for preview runs on Friday, Dec. 12, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Race packets will be available at the Best Western Hotel from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Technical Meeting begins at 8 p.m. Click HERE for a full weekend schedule, including Saturday race times. http://www.mausatf.org/2014ClubXC/2014-Club-XC-Championships-schedule.htm
In addition, a free Masters Running seminar will be presented on Dec. 12 at the Best Western Hotel from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Panelists will include many-time Club Championships winners Pete Magill and Kathy Martin, as well as ZAP Fitness coach Pete Rea. Runner's World's Amby Burfoot will moderate the panel.
