Jacksonville Jaguars Release

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Former Lehigh All-American Will Rackley '11 has been named the Jacksonville Jaguars' recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award, it was announced Monday. Rackley was selected by his Jaguar teammates for the award, which is presented each year to one member of every NFL team, recognizing the players' courage and dedication in returning from injury or illness.

Rackley is in his third season with the Jaguars. He appeared in 15 games, making 14 starts at left guard for Jacksonville as a rookie in 2011, but spent the entire 2012 season on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury in the preseason. Rackley has bounced back from last year's injury to reclaim his starting left guard spot. He has started ten of Jacksonville's 12 games so far in 2013 including the first eight, before being sidelined for two weeks due to injury. The Jaguars have won three of their last four games following an 0-8 start.

At Lehigh, Rackley was a four-year starter on the offensive line who started the final 40 games of his Mountain Hawk career. Rackley emerged into a dominant left tackle and was recognized as a three-time first-team All-Patriot League selection and a two-time FCS All-American. In 2010, Rackley captained Lehigh to its ninth Patriot League football championship and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game.

Jacksonville selected Rackley in the third round (76th overall) in the 2011 draft, making him the highest-drafted player in Patriot League football history. Rackley graduated from Lehigh in 2011 with a degree in design arts.
