Robb represents Lehigh on Academic All-Patriot League football team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore linebacker Noah Robb has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League team announced Wednesday morning. Robb was one of 14 Patriot League football student-athletes recognized for their efforts in the classroom in addition to on-field performance.
 
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor. The football Academic All-Patriot League Team has 14 student-athletes to equal one-half the size of the sport's All-Patriot League first team.
 
Robb started all 11 games at inside linebacker for Lehigh this season posting 55 total tackles, which ranked fifth on the Mountain Hawks. He registered five tackles for loss and three sacks plus an interception and a forced fumble. Robb tied for second on the Mountain Hawks in both tackles for loss and sacks. The Orefield, Pa. native posted a season-high ten tackles and made his first career interception versus Central Connecticut State in the season opener. He also had a key sack and forced fumble that led to a touchdown in Lehigh's win at Colgate.
 
A Dean's List student and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member, Robb carries a 3.54 cumulative GPA as an industrial engineering major. Robb has also received the Lehigh Faculty Athletics Council Academic Award twice. Robb owns the top cumulative GPA among starters on the football team. 
 
Lafayette wide receiver Mark Ross was voted Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year for football by the leagues' sports information directors.
 
Lehigh, ranked 24th in both FCS polls, finished the 2013 season with an 8-3 record.  Since the introduction of the Academic All-Patriot League team in 2010 five Lehigh football student-athletes have totaled eight Academic All-League honors. Running back Zach Barket '13 and wide receiver Ryan Spadola '13 were both two-time Academic All-League selections and two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selections. Barket also garnered second team Academic All-America honors following his senior campaign.
