Seniors lead Lehigh on day one of Patriot League Championship

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Seniors Doug Marcincin and Tim Rosenhouse led the way for the Lehigh men's golf team as the Mountain Hawks opened up action at the Patriot League Championship Saturday on the Bucknell Golf Course. Both seniors are in the top ten individually as Lehigh shot 591 as a team (295, 296) to sit in fourth place in the seven team field after 36 holes of play.
 
Lehigh is currently 31 over par, thirteen strokes behind first place Navy as the Mids rode an opening round 288 to lead at 578 (288, 290). Army is second at 585 (295, 290) followed by Bucknell at 586 (293, 293). The Mountain Hawks lead fifth place Lafayette by four strokes.
 
Marcincin was Lehigh's top performer with a second round 72 as he sits in ninth place overall six over par 146 (74, 72). Rosenhouse is one stroke behind at 147 (73, 74). He and sophomore Alex DiClemente had the low first round schores for Lehigh as both shot 73. DiClemente is tied for 19th at 152 (73, 79), while sophomore Andrew Arnold is tied for 14th at 150 (75, 75).
 
Others who competed for Lehigh were junior Sean Keller, who is currently tied for 28th place at 155 (80, 75), and freshman Carlos Kim, who shot 165 (80, 85) and is tied for 41st.
 
Bucknell freshman Peter Scialabba shot one over par 141 (69, 72) and holds the overall lead by one stroke over Army's William Park. Navy's Peter Reilly and Tim Shield are tied for third, two shots off the pace.
 
The Patriot League Championship will conclude Sunday with the final 18 holes, beginning at 8:30 from the Bucknell Golf Course.
