Mountain Hawks take fourth at Lafayette Invitational

EASTON, Pa. – The Lehigh women's cross country team placed fourth of 12 teams with 121 points at the Lafayette Invitational Saturday. The Mountain Hawks were led by Megan Hetzel who finished ninth overall out of 108 runners with a time of 22:23.7. Victoria Berard and Katherine Howley were close behind as the duo placed 13th and 14th respectively.
Elizabeth Sinclair was 43rd and Charlotte Malmborg was 44th. Peggy Lai was close behind that group in 48th while Simon Ingrid and Alyssa Autieri tied for 68th.
After those three, a trio of Mountain Hawks crossed the finish line together. Catherine Tobiason placed 42nd,
Bloomsburg won the race with 65 points while host Lafayette placed second (101 points) and American took third (111 points). Victoria Davis of Bloomsburg won the race with a time of 20:47.3.
While the women's cross country team split up its squad for two different races over the weekend, they will return all together in two weeks to compete in the Patriot League Championship which Lehigh will host on the Goodman Campus Course Saturday, October 29th at noon.
