Dylan at Stabler Makes The Morning Call’s Top Ten Shows List
1/13/2011 6:56:00 PM | Tickets
We're thrilled that our friends at The Morning Call named Bob Dylan at Stabler Arena as the 5th best concert in the area (including Philadelphia) for 2010.
John J. Moser says, “I expected to enjoy Bob Dylan at Stabler Arena Nov. 12. But I never expected it to be one of the best performances I've seen him give — especially after his mediocre show last summer at Allentown's Coca-Cola Park.”
The article counts down the top concerts in the area and includes Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers at the Wachovia Center and Bryan Adams at the Allentown Symphony Hall.
Moser goes on to detail Bob Dylan at Stabler, “the answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. The question is what made Bob Dylan, at 69, put on a performance that was vital and exciting — a near masterpiece far better than anyone had a right to expect? For 103 minutes, Dylan was an animated performer, broadly and intently gesturing as he stood at a microphone in front of the stage and sang — really sang, infusing his vocals with texture and emotion. “
Thanks again, Morning Call, we hope we can match this stellar concert in the upcoming year! You can read the full article here: http://www.mcall.com/entertainment/music/mc-top-10-concerts-year-20101224,0,6758311.story.
