Men's Golf ties for fourth at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bolstered by a strong final round 296, the Lehigh men's golf team tied for fourth at the Bucknell Invitational, which wrapped up on Saturday. Senior Dwight D'Iorio led the Mountain Hawks individually, tying for ninth overall with a score of 221 (72, 75, 74) while fellow co-captain junior Doug Marcincin fired the low round for Lehigh on the weekend as his final round 71 propelled him to 14th place at 222 (76, 75, 71).
The host Bucknell Bison used a final round 300 to capture the team crown with a total score of 888 (293, 295, 300), one shot better than Robert Morris. Fordham finished third with an 894, two shots better than both Lehigh and Laval. Colgate finished sixth, two shots behind the Mountain Hawks.
Other Mountain Hawks who competed on the weekend were junior Tim Rosenhouse, who shot a final round 72 to finish in a tie for 28th at 227 (76, 79, 72), senior Duncan Zeiders, who scored 231 (72, 77, 82) to tie for 40th and freshman Alex DiClemente who finished in a tie for 45th at 232 (76, 77, 79).
Robert Morris' C.G. Mercatoris captured medalist honors with a 211 (71, 69, 71), three shots better than Jon Hartman, who played for Bucknell's “blue” team.
The Mountain Hawks will return to the links at the University of Richmond Invitational, October 11 in Virginia.
