All-new season of Lehigh Sports Mag debuts Monday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For many Lehigh teams, the fall 2010 campaign begins on Friday. For another, the thrill of a new season will have to wait until Monday. That's when the all-new season of Lehigh Sports Magazine kicks off on WFMZ-TV, channel 69. For 16 years, this half-hour show has been delivering Lehigh fans interviews with every head coach, special player appearances, highlights, and much more. Hosted by WFMZ sports anchor Jim Vaughn, the Lehigh Sports Magazine can be seen every Monday night in the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, and western New Jersey on WFMZ-TV and WFMZ digital 69.3. WFMZ-TV is located on Service Electric Cable TV dial position 8, with the digital transmission (69.3) found on Service Electric channel 108.
 
For the eighth consecutive year, the Lehigh Sports Magazine will also be shown via streaming video on the Lehigh athletics web site on-demand beginning each Monday evening.  The web broadcast is streamed free of charge through the Lehigh GameCentral portal, powered by Stretch Internet. Each show is archived and may be viewed on-demand at no charge this season. 
 
For those outside the WFMZ-TV viewing area, the show will also be shown each week via Lehigh television partner Fox College Sports Atlantic, available in over 60 million homes on digital cable systems nationwide. The Lehigh Sports Magazine will air each Thursday at 1 p.m. ET on FCS Atlantic, with several additional showings to follow throughout the weekend.
 
Locally and regionally, new episodes will premiere each Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. on WFMZ digital 69.3 (Service Electric channel 108). WFMZ-TV, channel 69, will air the show twice each week including Mondays at 11:30 p.m. following 69 News, and Fridays immediately following the popular Big Ticket program.
 
The August 30 season premiere of the Lehigh Sports Magazine will feature an appearance by women's cross country coach Debbie Utesch and captain Andrea Mascaro '11, as the team begins its season Friday at home. Field hockey coach Julie Mazer and one of her student-athletes will discuss their opening weekend, which featured a pair of home contests. Additionally, the show will head inside practice to preview the men's cross country, men's soccer, volleyball seasons. Lastly, fifth year football coach Andy Coen previews his team's season opener at Drake.
