BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's swimming and diving team was honored for their hard work in the classroom as the Mountain Hawks earned Scholar All-American Team honors for the 2010 spring semester from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. To earn this distinction, a swimming and diving team must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA for the semester. Lehigh's women were recognized for having a 3.08 team GPA in the spring. The team was previously honored for its academic work in both the spring 2009 and fall 2009 semesters by the CSCAA.
The Mountain Hawk women were also honored for their spring 2010 efforts as 13 members of the program were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in June. Led by senior Liz Murray who earned a 4.0 GPA, ten of the 13 women named to the honor roll posted GPA's above 3.50.
In the pool, Lehigh went 5-4 in dual meets and placed fourth at the Patriot League Championships, setting eight new women's school records along the way.
Lehigh's women were one of 127 Division I programs recognized, topped by Gardner-Webb University which posted a 3.625 team GPA for the spring semester.
