Donnelly and Miller named to All-Patriot League Field Hockey Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh junior forward Caitlin Donnelly and senior goalkeeper Jessica Miller have been named to the All-Patriot League Field Hockey Team, as announced on Tuesday. The Mountain Hawks' leader in scoring, Donnelly was a first team honoree while Miller cracked the second team.
Donnelly is coming off a breakout junior season, scoring a team-high seven goals with all coming over the final 10 games. She scored a hat trick on Sept. 15 vs. Saint Joseph's before recording a pair of goals at La Salle 10 days later. Donnelly also scored in league games against Colgate and Holy Cross. Her goal against the Crusaders proved to be the difference in Lehigh's 2-1 Senior Day win.
Miller enjoyed an outstanding senior season, finishing the year with a career-high 118 saves and a strong .747 save percentage. One highlight came on Sept. 22 when she recorded her first-career shutout. She also made 18 saves on 21 shots at Cornell, while stopping a career-high 22 vs. rival Lafayette. Miller stands fourth in the nation among active players in career saves.
Both Donnelly and Miller have also been presented with numerous honorable mention recognitions on the Patriot League weekly honor roll this season.
The Mountain Hawks wrapped up their 2010 season on Saturday with a thrilling 2-1 Senior Day win over Holy Cross. It marked the final career game in the Brown and White for Miller, Lauren Cawley, Katey Fardelmann, Claire Horn, Lilia Stefaniwsky and Cassie Willard.
