Lehigh-Lafayette alumni field hockey game scheduled for Oct. 23

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Field hockey alumni will play in the second annual Lehigh-Lafayette alumni game, which will take place prior to the Mountain Hawks' clash against the Leopards on Oct. 23. Lehigh field hockey alums will host Lafayette alums in a 9 a.m. game at Ulrich Field. The current squads will square off at 11 a.m. in a crucial Patriot League showdown. “Last year, was the first annual alumni game. We decided to start a new tradition,” said Lehigh head coach Julie Mazer. “We had a great turnout. It's something that renews the rivalry and brings a lot of alumni back. It's really nice to have all the alumni there for our game for our game which follows at 11:00. We're looking forward to a great day.”
Following the 9 a.m. game will be an alumni breakfast at 10:00 before the current squads square off at 11:00. After the game, alums are invited to a postgame tailgate with current players, alumni, family and friends. That day also marks the official launch of the Lehigh Field Hockey Partnership.
