Mountain Hawks conclude action in New York

SUFFERN, N.Y. – Lehigh finished up action at the Roar EE Invitational on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks finished seventh in the ten-school tournament with a two-round score of 661 (326, 335). Junior Livia Amado was Lehigh’s top finisher individually as she shot a 159 over the 36 holes (76, 83) to tie for 17th place overall. Princeton won the team crown with a score of 612 (302, 310) and the Tigers were followed by Harvard (309, 309 = 618), Columbia (319, 314 = 633), Yale (323, 310 = 633) and Penn (313, 322 = 635). This was Lehigh’s final tournament of 2009 the spring season.
Other Mountain Hawks that competed include Jen Nagel who shot a 159 (84, 81) and tied for 34th place, Ana Nam who tied for 36th place with a score of 166 (77, 89) and Taylor Orr who shot a 171 (89, 82) and finished in a tie for 47th place. Emily Endres also competed but withdrew from the tournament after the first round due to illness.
Fairleigh Dickinson’s Eva Mayr won the individual championship after shooting a 150 (71, 79) throughout the weekend. She was followed by Princeton’s Michelle Grilli with a 152 (75, 77) and Penn’s Tiffan Cheung, who also shot a 152 (77, 75).
