Mountain Hawks place tenth at Hoya Invite

BEALLSVILLE, Md. – Lehigh finished action at the Hoya Invitational on Tuesday afternoon as the Mountain Hawks shot a 327 on the final 18 holes to bring their three-round total to 998 (334, 337, 327), which places the Brown and White in tenth place. Livia Amado shot an 83 on Tuesday to raise her total to 241 (81, 77, 83), which places her in a tie for 21st place in the individual standings. Nova Southeastern won the team crown after shooting a 308 on Tuesday and a 916 overall during the three rounds (298, 310, 308). Rounding out the top five in the team standings are Princeton (317, 312, 312 = 941), William & Mary (323, 320, 307 = 950), Rollins College (326, 320, 306 = 952) and Georgetown (335, 323, 308 = 966).
Other Mountain Hawks that competed at the par-72 Members Club at Four Streams included Emily Endres who finished in a tie for 40th place with a score of 250 (83, 87, 80), Jen Nagel who shot a 252 (86, 86, 80) and tied for 43rd place, Ana Nam who tied for 49th place with a total of 256 (85, 87, 84) and Taylor Orr who tied for 51st place after shooting a 257 (85, 88, 84).
Maria Garcia Austt of Nova Southeastern was the top individual finisher as she finished with a 223 (70, 74, 79), while Rollins’ Joanna Coe finished second with a score of 224 (79, 75, 70) and Sandra Changkija, also of Nova Southeastern placed third with a final tally of 225 (73, 77, 75).
Lehigh has one final match this spring on April 17 when the Mountain Hawks travel to Suffern, New York to compete in the Columbia Invitational.
