Where are they now? Finn Wentworth '80

Finn Wentworth, ’80, has owned his own companies since 1986. He is the founder and managing principal of Normandy Real Estate Partners, is currently on the National Olympic Rowing Board, and spent four years as the president and COO of YankeeNets. Wentworth has been a board member of YankeeNets LLC and the NBA, and a team board member of the Yankees and the Nets.
Because Wentworth believes that sports bring people together, he wanted to do something for the 22 million Yankee fans around the country. In 2002, Wentworth helped form the media network Yankee Entertainment Sports (YES).
“Sports basically penetrate through different communities,” Wentworth said.
Wentworth says that one of his most memorable experiences was when he was in the lead car in the celebratory parade when the Yankees won the World Series in 1999 and 2000. He says that his time at Lehigh has really helped prepare him for his life afterwards.
“It taught me that pretty much everybody around me was talented and very smart and hardworking,” he said. “It was humbling to realize that so many special people come together.”
Wentworth still remembers and uses the quote his Marketing professor, Professor Smackey, said, “High risk, high return. No risk, no return”.
“You have to be very pragmatic about what you can do and what you can’t do,” Wentworth said.
At Lehigh, Wentworth majored in marketing, was in the Delta Phi fraternity, the Social Chairman for the Interfraternity Council (IFC) and, on the rugby, cross country, and track teams. Wentworth was a miler in track and a fullback for rugby.

Wentworth has been married to his wife Kim for 25 years and has two sons; Mark who is graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland this past spring and Grant, who is a senior at Princeton in New Jersey.
