Lehigh and Colgate to meet in hoops doubleheader

The Lehigh basketball teams begin a two-game home stand on Wednesday evening, welcoming the Raiders of Colgate to Stabler Arena in a doubleheader of hoops action. The women’s game will get things started, beginning at 5:05, with the men’s game to follow. That one is slated for a 7:35 tip-off.
The Mountain Hawk women return to Stabler Arena for the first of their final two home games of the season. The Raiders erased an 11-point deficit in the final four minutes of regulation, then rallied to top the Mountain Hawks in overtime when the two teams met two weeks ago in

Colgate leads the all-time series between these two schools, 21-18. Last season, Colgate took two of three from the Mountain Hawks, knocking Lehigh out of the Patriot League tournament in the semifinals at Stabler Arena. Overall, the Raiders have won eight of the last ten meetings between these two teams. The Mountain Hawks are 7-4 at Stabler Arena under Sue Troyan.
Later in the evening, the Lehigh men will look to continue their winning ways. The Brown and White has lost just once since the start of the calendar year, and will be looking for its fifth straight win and 12th in its last 13 contests. Lehigh rolled past Army in West Point on Saturday afternoon 69-44, while Colgate dropped a 72-64 decision to American in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, the Raiders third straight defeat. Lehigh is 4-4 all-time versus Colgate under Billy Taylor and 2-1 at Stabler Arena, including a 63-53 victory last season.
Lehigh out rebounded Army by a 43-25 margin on Saturday, which was the fifth time this season the Mountain Hawks have pulled down at least ten more boards than their opponent (4-1 in those games).
