In the fall 51 percent of Lehigh’s 600-plus student-athletes earned a grade point average of 3.0 or better. In all, 109 Mountain Hawk student-athletes qualified for the Dean’s List, by posting a grade point average of 3.5 or better while completing at least 12 credit hours.
From a team perspective, 15 of Lehigh’s varsity athletic programs boasted team GPA’s of 3.0 or better during the fall semester; led by the softball team, which earned a 3.45 GPA, which established a new Lehigh academic record for an athletic team in a semester. Not far behind was the Mountain Hawks’ women’s basketball team, which had a team GPA of 3.40, which equaled the old department mark, which they established in the fall of 2003. Every one of Lehigh’s 12 women’s athletics teams had a team GPA of 3.0 or better, while cross country, track and field and golf tied for top honors on the men’s side.
Below is a listing of the Lehigh athletic programs that earned a team GPA of 3.0 or greater in the fall 2005.
