BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Prior to this Saturday’s critical Lehigh-Lafayette field hockey showdown alumni from both schools will gather for the first annual Lehigh-Lafayette field hockey alumni game, set for 10 a.m. Saturday  at Lafayette’s Rappolt Field. Approximately 20 Lehigh alumni will make the trip to Easton to play a shortened game against Lafayette alumni in what both sides hope will become an annual event.

“I am looking forward to seeing many familiar faces on Saturday,” said Lehigh head coach Julie Mazer.  “We thought the game would be a great way to bring the alumni back and give them a chance to compete again.  It should be a fun day with a great amount of alumni support for our game that follows the alumni game.”

The current editions of the Mountain Hawks and Leopards will do battle at 1:30 p.m. at Rappolt Field. Lehigh (5-7, 1-1 Patriot League) holds a one-game lead over Lafayette (9-4, 0-2 Patriot League) through two weekends of league play. The event also coincides with Homecoming weekend on Lehigh’s campus.
