Mountain Hawks conclude action in New York

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Lehigh headed to New York this weekend to compete in the Colgate Invitational and after 36 holes of golf, junior Steve Suarez tied for tenth place overall after shooting a 153 (77, 76).  Lehigh finished in a tie for third place in the team standings, tying with Patriot League foe Bucknell as the two teams both shot a 623.  The Brown and White shot a 309 on the first day and a 314 on the second.  Binghamton captured the team championship after shooting a 606 (302, 304).

Rounding out the top-five in the team standings were St. Francis (313, 305 = 618), Lehigh (623), Bucknell (303, 320 = 623) and Ottawa (314, 313 = 627).

Other Mountain Hawks that competed this weekend were Shane Gilroy who shot a 154 (73, 81) and tied for 12th place overall, Dylan Evans who tied for 24th place with a two-round total of 160 (82, 78), Will Robinson who shot a 161 (77, 84) and tied for 27th place, and Tim Rosenhouse who tied for 33rd after shooting a 162 (83, 79).

Lehigh is back in action on October 4 when the Mountain Hawks compete in the Delaware Invitational, set to take place in Newark.
