BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh looks to shake off its first loss of the season on Monday night as the Mountain Hawks wrap up a three-game homestand versus the Red Flash of St. Francis (Pa.).  Lehigh fell to Rider on Thursday evening 69-68 in a game in which the Brown and White led 37-25 at halftime, but shot just 26 percent in the second half and was unable to hold on.  Junior Zahir Carrington netted a team-high 15 points for Lehigh, while sophomore Rob Keefer (11) and senior Phil Anderson (10) also hit for double figures.  Freshman John Adams and sophomore Dave Buchberger established career-highs with seven rebounds apiece, as Lehigh won the rebounding battle for the third consecutive game.  St. Francis enters the contest having downed Patriot League member Bucknell 69-59 in overtime on Saturday evening at home.  The Red Flash had dropped their first three contests of the season prior to that game, but used a 34 to 9 advantage at the charity stripe to defeat the Bison and earn their first “W” of the season.

Lehigh currently leads the Patriot League in assists, averaging 15.7 helpers per game, and the Mountain Hawks also sit atop the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.27).  Sophomore Prentice Small is averaging a league-best five assists per game, while junior Marquis Hall is right behind him with 4.67 per contest.  Lehigh has totaled at least 12 assists in all three of its games this season.

Lehigh head coach Brett Reed has a deep bench to work with this season, with ten players averaging eight or more minutes per game.  At least eight Mountain Hawks have scored in every game and overall, the Lehigh bench has outscored its counterparts 51-45 through the early going.
