BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh begins the stretch run of its season Saturday afternoon as the Mountain Hawks continue their three-game road trip in Massachusetts versus the Holy Cross Crusaders at Fitton Field.  Both teams enter this weekend at 1-0 in the Patriot League and are coming off non-league contests versus Ivy League members last weekend.  Lehigh unleashed 17 second-half points and was in position to take its first lead of the afternoon, before a late turnover led to a 27-24 loss to Harvard in Boston, while Holy Cross rolled over Dartmouth 44-26 in New Hampshire.  Saturday’s game is Lehigh’s lone road game on grass this season and its first since October 13, 2007 at Yale.

Holy Cross is led by all-everything quarterback Dominic Randolph, who is averaging over 333 yards of total offense and 327 yards of passing offense per game.  Last weekend at Dartmouth, it was running back Mike Kielt who was the Crusaders top offensive performer however, scoring four total touchdowns, including three on the ground.  The Holy Cross “D” limited the Big Green to just 16 first downs and 66 rush yards, and picked off a pair of passes.  The Crusaders have played one of the tougher schedules in the Patriot League this season, having lost three games by only seven points to teams that are a combined 11-6.

Lehigh’s defense continues to shine as the Mountain Hawks are 20th in America in scoring defense, allowing only 19.8 points per game.  Lehigh’s 118 points surrendered this season are its fewest through six games since 2004 when the Brown and White gave up only 92 points in that time span.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 1:00 from Fitton Field in Worcester.  The game will be televised live on WFMZ-TV, Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh and Fox College Sports-Atlantic as well as Lehighsports.com with Steve Degler and Mike Yadush ‘93. The contest will also be broadcast live on ESPN Radio 1230 and 1320 AM with Matt Kerr, Kody Fedorcha ’00 and Matt Markus on the call.
