HAMILTON, N.Y. – Lehigh saw its two game winning streak come to an end as the Mountain Hawks fell to Colgate 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Van Doren Field. Franny Iacuzzi scored the game’s only goal, as the Raiders climbed over the Mountain Hawks in the Patriot League standings, improving to 3-3 in the league and 7-1 overall. The Mountain Hawks fall to 7-7-3 overall and 2-3-1 in the league with just one game remaining in the regular season.

Iacuzzi provided the game’s lone score 24 minutes in as she fired a shot from the right side of the 18-yard box into the lower left corner of the net for her eleventh goal of the season. Josie Johnson assisted on the play.

The Raider defense took over from there, holding Lehigh without a shot on goal. The Raiders out shot Lehigh 13-8 and had four corner kicks to the Mountain Hawks’ two. Carly Sousa earned the shutout in goal without having to make a save.

Lehigh’s goalkeeping tandem combined to make four saves, with junior Julie Kafka making three stops and freshman Lauren Mains saving one shot.

Entering the last week of the regular season, Lehigh sits in sixth place in the league standings with seven points. The Mountain Hawks trail Colgate by two points for the fourth and final spot in the league tournament.

The Mountain Hawks will wrap-up the regular season next Saturday when they welcome Army to the Ulrich Sports Complex. Game time is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on Lehighsports.com with streaming video provided by Yahoo! Sports.
