Lehigh opens season with impressive victory

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Lehigh opened its 2006 fall season in style on Friday afternoon by winning the Kutztown Fall Invitational with a team score of 323 to defeat the host Kutztown (337), Mount St. Mary’s (349), and McDaniel College (393).  Team captain Yvonne Kukora highlighted the Mountain Hawks day as she captured the overall championship with a one round score of 77.   

 

Other Mountain Hawks who turned in solid performances on Friday were Allison Juster (80), Jennifer Nagel (82), Caroline Boyer (84), and Allison Webb (85).  Juster finished third, while Nagel took fourth, Boyer tied for sixth place and Webb came in eighth.

Lehigh will return to the links on September 23 when the Mountain Hawks travel to New Jersey to compete in the Princeton Invitational.  Tee time is set for 1:30.
