Lehigh earns hard-fought 1-0 win at Quinnipiac

The game remained scoreless for over 80 minutes, but with the Mountain Hawks staring at a third straight overtime game to begin the season, Molina notched her third goal of the season to earn Lehigh a positive result. The only goal of the match was a result of Lehigh’s fourth corner kick of the afternoon. Freshman Natalie Hojnacki flicked sophomore Hailey Coonrad’s corner to Molina, who beat Sarah Lusto to break the scoreless deadlock in the 84th minute.
The Lehigh defense took care of the rest, allowing just six shots on the afternoon. Sophomore Julie Kafka made four saves to earn her first shutout of the season and the 13th of her career. Lusto made six stops to keep Quinnipiac in the contest. The Mountain Hawks out shot the Bobcats 15-6, while head coach Manny Oudin utilized his deep bench as 19 Mountain Hawks saw playing time in the win.
The loss drops Quinnipiac to 1-1 on the season.
