PRINCETON, N.J. – Lehigh sophomore Yvonne Kukora shot a 159 over two days to lead the Mountain Hawks at the Princeton Women’s Invitational, held at the par 72 Springdale Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. The Mountain Hawks shot a 685 as a team to finish 13th in the 17-team event. Host Princeton posted a total of 605 to win the invitational, as the Tigers finished twenty strokes better than second place Yale.

Princeton’s Sharla Cloutier shot a three-under par 69 on Sunday and a one-over 145 overall to capture medalist honors.

For Lehigh, Kukora paced her squad for the third consecutive tournament. Kukora’s 159 was good for 16th place individually overall. She was the only Lehigh competitor to finish in the overall top 20.

Elsewhere for the Mountain Hawks, Allison Juster (86-87-173) and Tiina Olsson (89-85-174) also played well. Senior captain Sarah March (90-89-179) and sophomore Katey Gumz (92-96-188) rounded out the scoring for the Mountain Hawks.

Lehigh returns to the links on Friday, when the Mountain Hawks take part in the Mount St. Mary’s Invitational in Thurmont, Md.
