The victory improves the Green Wave to 3-1 on the season, while the loss drops the Mountain Hawks to 2-5 overall.
Tulane freshman Megan Valicevic scored a career high 14 points off the bench in the win.
Lehigh was led by its two captains, as Jenny Callan scored 19 points and pulled down ten rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Junior Sara Ellis scored 19 as well for Lehigh. Freshman Tricia Smith added a career-high ten points for the Mountain Hawks on Sunday.
For her efforts, including two double-doubles, Callan was named to the Mission Management & Trust Fiesta Bowl Classic all-tournament team.
For the game, Lehigh out-rebounded Tulane 40-39, and the Green Wave committed 14 turnovers to a season-low 12 for the Mountain Hawks.
Lehigh led by as many as four points at 13-9 in the first half, but the game remained a nip-and-tuck affair that Tulane led 27-24 at halftime. Callan scored seven and pulled down seven rebounds in the first 20 minutes, but the Mountain Hawks were plagued by poor shooting. LU shot just 28% from the floor over the first 20 minutes, including 0-for-10 from three-point range.
Lehigh will return to the court on Thursday night, when the Mountain Hawks visit
