Mountain Hawks prepare for Saturday's game at Fordham

11/9/2005 4:15:00 PM | Football

Lehigh hits the road for the final time during the 2005 regular season, as the 13th-ranked Mountain Hawks visit Fordham on Saturday afternoon.  Last week, Lehigh rolled to a 46-14 victory over Georgetown in Bethlehem.  The 46-point effort marked the fifth time this year that Lehigh has scored 40 or more points in a game.  Sophomore QB Sedale Threatt threw four touchdown passes, and junior RB Marques Thompson rushed for a career high 117 yards in the win.  Defensively, four players had five or more tackles in the win.

Meanwhile, the Rams have won two league games in a row after an 0-7 overall start.  Senior running back James Prydatko rushed for over 200 yards in last week’s win over Bucknell.

Lehigh has dominated the all-time series between these two schools, leading 18-1.  Lehigh has won the last seven games, after Fordham got their only win in series history in 1997. The first matchup between the two programs was a 9-6 Lehigh victory in 1923.  LU won the most recent meeting at Jack Coffey Field: a 26-23 overtime triumph in 2002.  Thanks to some quirky league scheduling, Lehigh has not played here since the 2002 season.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 1:05 pm.  The game will not be televised, though fans can tune in to audio coverage on ESPN Radio 1230 and 1320 with veteran Matt Kerr and Kody Fedorcha ’00.  Pregame coverage gets underway at noon, with kickoff set for just after 1:00 pm.  Fans outside the Lehigh Valley can hear all the action live on the Lehigh web site at lehighsports.com, with streaming provided Yahoo! Sports.
