BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second time in three weeks, Lehigh sophomore quarterback Sedale Threatt has been named the Patriot League offensive player of the week, it was announced Monday.  Thanks to Lehigh’s convincing 40-3 win at Fordham, the Mountain Hawks moved up a spot to No. 12 nationally in both major polls.

Threatt threw three touchdown passes and ran for 81 yards, including one touchdown, to lead the Mountain Hawks to a 40-3 victory over the Rams. Threat completed 18 of his 30 attempted passes, throwing only one interception and accumulating a career high 258 yards through the air. In addition, his 81 yards on the ground led all rushers on the day.

The Mountain Hawks also climbed a notch in both the Sports Network and ESPN/USA Today coaches poll, from 13 to 12.

Lehigh’s win over Fordham kept the Mountain Hawks in a three-way tie atop the Patriot League standings.  Lehigh (8-2 overall, 4-1 Patriot League) returns to the gridiron on Saturday, November 19, when the Mountain Hawks host archrival Lafayette for the 141st time in college football’s most-played rivalry. A win Saturday ensures the Mountain Hawks at least a share of the Patriot League title, and guarantees a second consecutive playoff berth.

Kick-off is set for just after 12:30, and although tickets have long been sold out, all the action can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1230 AM and 1320 AM beginning at 11:00 AM with renowned veteran Matt Kerr and former Lehigh standout Kody Fedorcha ’00. The game will also be shown live on WFMZ-TV, FSN Pittsburg, FCS Atlantic and lehighsports.com.
