Lehigh hosts Bucknell in home finale on Saturday

Lehigh’s last league game was an excitement packed 3-2 overtime victory against Colgate on October 22. The Mountain Hawks found themselves down 2-0 at halftime, but behind the strength of two goals from reigning Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week Marissa Iannarone, were able to fight back and secure the crucial league win. Iannarone scored the game-winner 6:30 into the overtime session, lifting the Brown and White to its first victory over Colgate since 1996. Sophomore Christy Smith scored the game-tying goal versus the Raiders with less than one minute remaining in regulation, her second tally of the season. She currently has six points, fourth best for Lehigh, while senior Maureen Harrington is third on the Mountain Hawks with ten points (four goals, two assists). Senior Meghan Gove was honored as the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the third time on Monday, after the captain stopped every shot she faced in the second half and overtime session. Gove has over 300 saves for her caeer, including 149 this season. The
Bucknell arrives in
In goal for Bucknell, Liz Jordan has started all 16 games, recording 156 saves along the way, which leads the Patriot League. The senior has posted a 2.60 goals against average in 1,022 minutes of action.
Last year’s game, which was played in Lewisburg, featured an offensive assault, as the two teams combined for ten goals. Lehigh came away on top 6-4, on the strength of three goals by Mary Beth Kuenne, leading a Mountain Hawk four goal second half charge.
