Noon named Rookie of the Week
9/13/2004 12:00:00 AM | Field Hockey
Bethlehem, PA – Freshman Katie Noon was honored as the Patriot League’s Rookie of the Week after scoring five goals in her first six collegiate games. The forward netted two scores in Lehigh’s 9-0 win over Robert Morris on Saturday, the largest shutout victory in school history and she backed that up with another goal in the Mountain Hawks 3-0 win on Sunday afternoon over Davidson. Noon is tied for the league lead in goals and has scored in Lehigh’s last four games, including the game-winning goal against West Chester on September 8.
Head Coach Julie Mazer is pleased to see Noon receive this honor. "Katie is a smart player who puts herself in good position on the field to get off good shots. She is very deserving of this honor because of how hard she's worked and how well she has played for us."
