Lehigh opens fall play with ninth place finish at Colgate

Hamilton , NY – Lehigh shot a 618 as a team to finish 9th in a crowded 19-team field at the Colgate Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. Bucknell shot a 597 over the two days to win the event, which took place at the Par 72 Seven Oaks Golf Course on Colgate’s campus.
Individually, the Mountain Hawks were led by the play of sophomore Alan Borowsky, who shot a 76 on Saturday and a 72 on Sunday to finish in a tie for sixth place overall with a 148. Teammate Jason Moloney had the second best single round of any Mountain Hawk. After shooting an 80 on Saturday, Moloney rebounded with a 75 on Sunday to finish with a 155 (tied for 36th overall). Senior Patrick McCahill (77-81-158) was tied for 51st in the event, and classmate John Jaravata (80-79-159) rounded out the Lehigh scoring. Sophomore Will Weihenmayer (82-79-161) also competed over the weekend for the Mountain Hawks.
