Lehigh starts slow, falls to Columbia at Stabler

The Mountain Hawks started the second half much better than the first and were able to hang with the Lions for duration of the stanza. Lehigh closed to within five with just over five minutes remaining, but
Lehigh shot only 31 percent from the field, including 6 of 20 from three point range. Knight led the Mountain Hawks with 18 points, while Erik Smith was the only other Lehigh player in double figures with 10. The Lions shot 53 percent on the night and were led by Matt Preston’s 17 points.

Lehigh is off for finals this week and will return to action on Wednesday, December 15 when the Mountain Hawks play host to Eastern from Stabler Arena. Game time is set for 7:00.
