Bethlehem, PA – Another day, another honor for Lehigh junior tight end Adam Bergen.  This time, CSTV: College Sports Television has recognized Bergen as an All-America tight end.  The CSTV honor – voted upon by CSTV staff members – is Bergen’s fifth postseason award.

In the last month, Bergen has been selected to The Sports Network’s All-America team, the Associated Press All-America Second Team, the ECAC All-Star squad, and the All-Patriot League first team (as voted on by the Patriot League’s head coaches).

Bergen led Lehigh and ranked third in the Patriot League with 70 catches for 840 yards in 2003.  He averaged 12 yards per catch, and posted a team-high six touchdown receptions last season.

CSTV, the first 24-hour college sports network, is available to more than 15 million homes nationally on cable and satellite, including DirecTV.  On September 13, CSTV brought a national audience to Goodman Stadium as Lehigh topped then-No. 9 Fordham by a 23-16 score in a rain-soaked, muddy affair.

The Mountain Hawks were 8-3 on the season, and 6-1 in Patriot League play.  Lehigh’s only league setback came at undefeated Colgate, who recently participated in Division I-AA’s national championship game.  Lehigh posted its sixth consecutive eight-plus win season for the first time in the storied program’s history.
