Crockett honored by I-AA Athletics Directors

Bethlehem, PA – Senior Dave Crockett has been named to the sixth annual Division I-AA Athletics Directors Association Academic All-Star Team. To be elgible for the prestigious honor, student-athletes are required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 in undergraduate study and have been a starter or key player on his team with legitimate athletic credentials.
Crockett has also been named one of eight finalists eligible for two postgraduate scholarships made available by the ADA. The group selected the eight finalists from the original 33 members of the all-star team.
On the field, Crockett started all 11 games. He was second on the team with 42 receptions for 490 yards. Last month, Crockett was recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection for the second time in his career.
Crockett, who makes his first appearance on the ADA squad, has already earned his degree in accounting, and is pursuing a second degree in supply chain management. Crockett maintains a 3.70 GPA, and has been a Dean’s List student every semester at Lehigh. He is the current president of Lehigh’s Student-Athlete Council, and an active participant in Lehigh’s community outreach (C.O.A.C.H.) program, and Lehigh’s Football Leadership Council. Crockett is also a three-time member of the Patriot League’s Academic Honor Roll.
In his Lehigh career, Crockett caught five touchdown passes and was a part of three Patriot League championship teams. Crockett was a member of three NCAA playoff teams, and the Mountain Hawks boasted a career record of 49-11 with Crockett on the roster.
