Lehigh returns home to face Saint Mary's
10/10/2003 12:00:00 AM | Football
Lehigh looks to get back on the right track Saturday as the Mountain Hawks host Saint Mary’s at Goodman Stadium. Lehigh (3-2) has dropped its last two contests, including a hard-fought 35-17 decision at future Big East member UConn last week. Meanwhile, the Gaels are off to a 0-5 start in 2003, including a 40-0 home loss to Montana State a week ago.
In last week’s UConn game, Lehigh quarterback Chad Schwenk injured his wrist while leading the Mountain Hawks on an 82-yard touchdown drive. Schwenk, who will miss the remainder of the season, will be replaced in the Lehigh lineup by junior punter Kyle Keating. Keating, who started and won two games as LU’s quarterback last year, is one of two players in Division I to start as both a team’s quarterback and punter.
Saturday’s kickoff is scheduled for just after 1:00, and fans can see Saturday’s action live on Service Electric TV2 Sports and nationwide on Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh (DirecTV channel 628). The game can be heard in the Lehigh Valley on Oldies 1470, WKAP. For ticket information, call the Lehigh Ticket Office at (610) 7LU-GAME, or visit the on-line ticketing page (link below).
