In secondary school: Three-time AA Pennsylvania place winner… placed third as sophomore and seventh as a junior before finishing as state runner-up at 135 in senior season… three-time WPIAL champion.

Personal: Son of Rick and Susie Welsh… brother Trevor (17)… enjoys mountain biking, fishing, golf and softball.
